20160701 125512 So we took Eeyore on a lightning trip to Lago Iseo in northern Italy... 20160701 141353 to see the Floating Piers of Christo that stretch from Sulzano to a good sized island and out to a much smaller island. 20160701 133459 It was warm by the time we reached Brescia... 20160701 133506 and switched to the local train where we luckily, unlike some other passengers, got seats.
DSCN6790 It became clearl that ee were not alone in our quest... DSCN6791 This is the line to get on the train to leave the town of Sulzano where the pier touched the land. DSCN6792 Looking from the town down to the first leg of the pier. DSCN6793 These section connected to an island in the lake.
DSCN6794 But to get there, one needed to wait in other lines... DSCN6795 that were occasionally released to allow slugs of people into the system. DSCN6796 Once released one follow the heavy yellow fabric through the town. DSCN6797 It had a pilgrimage feel to it.
